Thema

Sonnenblumen (Sunflowers) mosaic from 1979 by Reinhard Dietrich on the side of an apartment building called the Sonnenblumenhaus (Sunflower House) in Rostock-Lichtenhagen

Beschreibung

The cheerful sunflowers belie the building's tragic history. Called the Sunflower Tower (Sonnenblumenhaus), the building was famously the site of racist violence against Vietnamese refugees in 1992.
