Description
Reinhard Dietrich lived near Rostock for four decades and created some of the city's most recognizable mosaics, sculptures and fountains. He stands in front of Sieben Schwestern küsst das eine Meer in Kröpeliner-Tor-Vorstadt. The fountain sculpture symbolizes peace and friendship between the seven countries (German Democratic Republic, Poland, Soviet Union, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the Federal Republic of Germany) that bordered the Baltic Sea in 1970.
