Introduction

I am a graduate student beginning my second year in the Art History MA program at George Mason University. I am pursuing a graduate degree because I hope to work as a curator in an art museum. My main focus is global contemporary art.

I am new to digital humanities. I currently work as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Special Collections Research Center of George Mason University Libraries. My colleague and I are working on a Curatescape site about the history of George Mason University. My motivation to sign up for this course was to gain skills and knowledge to aid my GRA project. I hope to learn to create an engaging and effective digital history exhibition that will remain relevant after I graduate. I also hope to improve my WordPress skills.

My professional background includes several years working in documentary research and development for a German production company best known for its high-quality German and European history documentaries. Museums and oral histories are my main areas of interest in public history.
